Born in 1989 in Hanoi and graduated from the Vietnam University of Fine Arts in 2012, Nguyen Minh Quan is a promising painter in the local art scene.

His work was inspired by a deep interest in the natural and mythological world of Greece myths. After learning about the Art Nouveau school (in particular Alphone Mucha), combined with his obsession with the way Francis Bacon explored the human body and an admiration for the use of bright color palettes as well as the composition of fashion photography, Quan’s practice became more defined and concrete.
