Nguyễn Thị Hoàng Minh

biography

Born in 1984 in Saigon, graduated from Ho Chi Minh University of Fine Arts with a master degree in Visual Arts in 2016, Nguyễn Thị Hoàng Minh is considered one of the most potential artists with great talent in Vietnam.

Choosing silk as the main medium, Minh's artworks focus on shapes and colors with a desire to show the intimate relationship between human and nature as well as the

beautiful cohesion between an individual with his/her surrounding entities.

The characters in Minh's paintings always bear the breath of time, they are emotional, innocents and sometimes almost fragile. For Minh, art is the only way to capture emotions and affections in the moments.

Hoang Minh has participated in different exhibitions in Vietnam and overseas: Exhibition at Tsukuba Museum, Ibaraki, Japan (2016); Jogyakarta International Festival, Indonesia (2017); World Art Dubai (2018); Seni Rampai Festival, Malaysia (2018); Exhibition at Museum Yilan, Taiwan (2018); Affordable Art Fair New York, USA (2018) and Exhibition of silk paintings and small sculptures at VCCA - Hanoi (2018).
